Documentary/Movie Show On Youth day, 12th January, 2015

National Youth Day is celebrated in India on 12^th  January on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. In 1984 the Government of India declared the day as the National Youth Day and since 1985 the event is celebrated in India every year. Hence, a documentary show was organized on 12^th January 2015 to celebrate National Youth Day by Department of Biotechnology for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students of Biotechnology & Microbiology. The two documentaries were shown and it was felt that the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth. The movie was very much enjoyed by students and faculty members of departments.

Students took keen interest and in the end pledged to work to rekindle the eternal message of this great patriot and son of India. Over all it was a very learning experience and students were looking forward to more of this type of documentary shows.
