Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity:
- To sensitise about various aspects of biopharmaceutics
- To have a brief idea about commercial production and quality control
Description:
The Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology has organized an industrial trip to Ayushraj Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.,Jaipur on 7th October, 2024. Postgraduate students were accompanied by Dr. Anuja Vajpayee for this visit.
Ayushraj Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. established in 2000 is a national level laboratory which is a manufacturer of herbal extracts and herbal products committed towards ensuring quality and hence has set up a lab. The lab conducts chemical testing on various raw materials and plant extracts. The laboratory is well-equipped with the analytical instruments like FTIR, spectrophotometers (UV-VIS), chromatography units (like HPTLC, HPLC, Gas chromatography with Mass Spectroscopy). The lab also has a separate microbiological analysis section and a storage chamber for determining the shelf life of the products. The students were also made aware about the production and packaging of Tablets, Capsules, Medicinal oil, Fine powder and Syrup with the latest and GMP certified machineries.
The visit to Ayushraj Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. proved very insightful for students as they gained knowledge regarding the commercial production and quality control.
Outcome of the activity: Participants were benefited in variety of ways like:
1. Awareness about various aspects of biopharmaceutics
2. Understanding of commercial heral drug production
3. Understanding of quality control
4. Awareness on working of various analytical instruments and certified machineries
