Objectives of the workshop/seminar/activity:

  1. To acquaintthe participants with Organic Food Processing;from raw materials to finished products, including quality control measures.
  2. To learn about‘Modern Packaging Techniques’used by Morarka Organic Foods, with a focus on hygiene, efficiency, and the preservation of product quality.
  3. To instill the spirit of bio-entrepreneurship in participants .
  4. To encourage participants to view "organic foodproduction"as a viable option for bio-entrepreneurship.

 

Summary/Description:

Our educational trip to Morarka Organic Foods Limited, Jaipur provided a comprehensive insight into the company's operations, from food processing to packaging and distribution. Morarka specializes in producing and packaging of a wide range of organic foods, focusing onthe quality control, ensuring hygiene&efficiency and also meets the standards of the industry. The company uses various packaging materials designed to preserve the quality and extends the shelf life of their products. Morarka's distribution network is well-organized, targeting both the local and international markets. They employ strategic marketing to reach customers, including collaborations with retail outlets and e-commerce platforms. We got to know about modern organic food industry practices and also the importance of maintaining the required standards in food safety and quality.

 

 

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop:

Participants were benefitted in various ways:

  1. They got to know about the manufacturing processes ofOrganic foodproduction.
  2. Participants became aware of the importance ofOrganic food consumption as it is contamination and adulteration free.
  3. They gained knowledge about the certification process across the entire value chain, understanding that each stage (from cultivation and procurement to storage and processing) is verified through independent third-party inspection and certification agencies.
  4. They understood the requirement of products to be sold in a packed & sealed form showing the logos of the certification bodies.
