An Interactive session with Dr Neha Jain, Assistant Professor, Biological and Life Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad on “Bad side of good bacteria: Biofilms in neurodegenerative diseases” was organized from 12.00 p.m. onwards on 14th August, 2018 in Aaditya Hall. The interactive session was about how does microbial amyloids affect progression of non-microbial diseases and how does our body deal with microbial amyloids and biofilms. She also talked about cross-talk at protein aggregation level, E.coli curl amyloids and Parkinsons disease. All students of PG (BTE and MBL) Sem I&III, UG (BTE and MBL) Sem I&V, research scholars and faculty members of Biotechnology attended the same with enthusiasm.
