Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity:
To test the knowledge of the students on COVID-19 and uprise them students about the importance of science in fighting against the deadly disease.
Summary/Description:
In order to celebrate Vigyan SarvatraPujyate week(National Science Week) on the theme Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future, a series of activities were conducted between 22-28 February 2022 in the University. As a part of this celebration, the department of Biotechnology organized an online quiz titled “Science: Our COVID-19 Savior” on the 26th February 2022. The quiz was open for all students of all faculties of Science Arts, Commerce.
The quiz was conducted on online quiz platform Kahoot, and covered questions from the the field of COVID-19, Corona virus, vaccines, Mucormycosis etc. The total number of registrations received were 74, out of which 46 students participated in the quiz. The participants were divided in to different groups and quiz link was shared with all participants. After the quiz ended, the results were compiled from all groups and the winners were declared.
Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop: After attempting the quiz, not only did the students gain more knowledge about the disease and various scientific aspects related to it, but they also learned how to give a quiz and how to manage time efficiently.
