Objective of the activity:
- To make faculty and scholars aware of the science and technology with specific reference to biotechnology and microbiology.
Summary:
A three-day Rajasthan VigyanMahotsav 2024 was conducted from 26-28 February 2024. The second day of the event “Young Scientist Conference and Vigyanika” was organised at Rajasthan University. The guests of honor were Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa (Deputy Cheif Minister of Rajasthan) and Dr. Ashutosh Sharma (Chairman, INSA, New Delhi). Dr. RaghavParaksh (Director, Parishkar College and Global Excellence) and Dr. Priyanka Yadav (Senior, DST, Government of Rajasthan) were there to witness this event.
The event started with a welcome speech by Prof. AlpanaKateja (Vice Chancellor, UOR). An introduction to the program was presented by Prof. S.N Dolia (Convener YSC and Vigyanika). The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Meghendra Sharma (Secretary, VIBHA).
More than 300 Young scientists participated in the event presnenting their work in the field of science either through Poster or Poetry. Dr. Bairwa addressed the audiance and the young minds with the motive of taking India onto greater heights. Dr. Sharma enlightened the audience with his thoughts on Dr. Ramphal Sharma (Professor, IIS university) was selected as one of the jury members for the poster and poetry competition. From our university, Ms. Arushi Bhardwaj and Ms. Nikita Yadav participated in Poster competition and Ms. Bhardwaj banged the second prize.
The event ended with the positive thoughts from the renowned scientists motivating and encouraging every young mind to “Think big and achieve big”.
Outcome of the activity:
The visit provided valuable insights and guidance to the academic community. The New Education Policy and how it will help in flourishing the bright minds of our country. All of other present dignitaries presented their thoughts in the field of science motivating them to showcase their talent.
