All the students were first shown the Hydroponics unit that is to be inaugurated on 20th March 2024. They showed us the Azolla cattle feed where Azolla fern were grown. Then we were shown the pots where water cabbage were present, also the lotus leaves and the coin plants. Then we went to the plant nursery where different types of organic plants and plant saplings were present. There were different strains of grass for feeding the cattle and also the medicines in the making for the cattle. Then we were shown the “Gaukrida Sthal” where cattle were present that were 710 in total, all of the cattle had tags on their ears, and the breed was Thar parker, a Pakistani breed. There were separate sheds for cows that were diseased and also the new born. Then we were shown the tanks where biogas is made and we were also told how it was made in those tanks. Then we went to see the vermicomposting area, where the worms were used in the beds made, they produced vermicast. Then they showed us compost 2, in which the nitrogen concentration is 1% and is made faster as compared to the vermicompost beds. Then they showed us the planting area where the cattle feed was grown, then we were shown the area where the cattle urine was used to make medicines, and the area where the treatment of patients is done. Lastly we were shown the oxygen track, where different medicinal plants as well including “Giloy”, insulin plants etc. there were lots of other plants such as mango plants, amla, papaya tree, blackberry, mulberry plants etc, all of them were grown organically.
