This course will enable the students to develop an understanding about practical aspects of components of immune system as well as their function. Basic as well as advanced methods will be learned to detect different antigen and antibody interactions, isolation of different lymphocyte cells etc. and how they can be used in respective research work.
CO113: Perform experiments related to immunology and apply their knowledge to design immunological experiments.
CO114: Prepare antigens in selected animal, collect blood, extract serum and identify and examine the blood cells by microscopic examination.
CO115: Perform antigen-antibody interactions by various immunological techniques like double diffusion, radial immuno diffusion, immunoelectrophoresis and ELISA; blotting assays to identify specific proteins or their expression
CO116: Identify and illustrate the various elements of immunology
CO117: Discuss and defend the concepts of immunology and illustrate the exercises performed with appropriate methods and outcomes and maintain proper documentation of the same.
CO118: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction
