  • DNA and Genome: The primary structure of DNA, packaging of DNA, Gene in molecular terms, physical and chemical nature of nucleic acid,types of DNA (A, B, Z).

  • DNA replication in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, enzymes involved in replication, DNA repair mechanism- mismatch repair, base excision repair, Nucleotide excision repair photoreactivation, Recombination and repair (Holiday model)
