  • Brief history of Plant Tissue Culture (Contribution of Indian Scientist), Introduction to in vitro Methods. Terms and definition.
  • Plant Tissue Culture media.
  • Concept of totipotency
  • Callus Culture
  • Embryo culture, embryo rescue after hybridization and its applications.
  •  Introduction to the processes of embryogenesis and organogenesis and their practical applications.

  • anther culture: Haploids and their application
  • Somaclonal variations and applications.
