The IPM Cell of the University conducted an orientation class for Research Scholars of various disciplines of the university on 'Intellectual Property Rights' on 22 September 2016 during 2.00 PM – 3.00 PM in Seminar Room of the University. The orientation was aimed at creating awareness about patent and IPR and to incline students to apply patent for their scientific research outputs.
The session was taken by IP Attorney Mr. Pankaj Kumar. The topics covered in the session were as follows:

2. Procedure to get a Patent
3. Understanding inventions – definition, patentable criteria
4. Conducting prior art search - Establishing patentability
5. Disclosing invention for drafting patent specification
6. Understanding a patent specification
7. Drafting patents specification
