Slogan Writing Competition

A Slogan Writing Competition - “Donate organs – Save Life” was organized by the Department of Biotechnology on 12^thAugust, 2013 to celebrate International Youth Day at The IIS University campus. The faculty members and students of the Department of Biotechnology have organized the event successfully.     

Dr. Shailja K. Juneja, Head Department of Environmental Sciences and Dr. Shilpi Rhijhwani, Head, Deapartment of Botany were the judges for the event. The competition was a huge success with lot of enthusiastic participation by undergraduate and postgraduate students of all streams as they wrote slogans on different aspects of organ donation to save life. The message was well spread that by donating eyes, organs, heart, kidney, liver etc after their death one can save life of the sufferers. The students also expressed their views on the existing mindset of the society about organ donation and how a change in the same can benefit entire mankind.
